The blood on English Street

Join the ghost of High Sheriff Bernard Ward for a ghostly tour of Downpatrick. Meet us at the front of Down County Museum, one of the sites used as a gallows. As we pass through the town we will hear true horror stories from Downpatrick's long dark past.

High Sheriff Ward was killed in a duel fought on English Street in 1690. His ghost has witnessed many interesting events, deaths, and executions of prisoners of Downpatrick's old jails.

This event is free and suitable for families. The walk is along lit streets.
