In smaller coaches we can visit Saint Patrick's landing point at the River Slaney where he made his first convert. This tranquil spot is on the shores of Strangford Lough.

Saint Tassach's Church
Make a visit to Raholp where Patrick's metal worker Saint Tassach lived. Visits are possible on foot though cattle may graze the land around the church ruins. It is possible to view the site from the road.

A site not to be missed is Struell Wells. It is the most complete complex of wells on the island of Ireland. Learn how Patrick converted local chieftains and the history of the site through the centuries.

Saul Church
Another site not to be missed is Saul Church. This was the place that Patrick first worshipped in Ireland and where he spent his final years. The gift of Dichu the site retains a serenity to this day.
Down Cathedral

Down Cathedral
Visit his grave at Down Cathedral which he shares with Saints Brigid and Columba. The site is located at the heart of Georgian Downpatrick. The building incorporates the twelfth century Abbey of Saint Patrick.
Inch Abbey

Inch Abbey
Complete your tour with a trip to Inch Abbey. One of Ireland's first gothic buildings, it is where The Life of Saint Patrick was written. It is located on an ancient island outside of Downpatrick.
